This plate is part of a commemorative tea service from Bethania chapel Aberdare- Capel Bethania Aberdar. I believe this chapel was a Calvinistic Methodist chapel which no longer exists in the town. There are no cracks or chips in the plate, but it has a couple of signs of wear as can be expected for a plate of this age. The Gilded writing has been applied by hand and is still very bright. The plate has no marking but must have been made at the same English factory as another larger plate I have listed which has a green anchor mark and England on the stamp. Photo 3 shows the mark from the larger plate but it IS NOT on this one. I have 12 of these plates. If anyone is interested in buying multiples please let me know and I will create a listing. Maker: W. H. Grindley & Co., Staffordshire, England Mark: Green anchor over “ENGLAND” Welsh chapel commemorative tea service I am open to offers on this item
