ALICE is a modular carrying system developed by the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war era. The main feat was the lightweightness of it, resulting in a reduction in the combat soldier's overall load. It’s still widely deployed within South American and Middle Eastern troops. The M.A.L.I.C.E. bag series by Maharishi brings the spirit of ALICE into contemporary civilian domain.
