This is an iPad mini 4. I used it about 10 years ago.

I dropped it on the asphalt while using it outside, and it's quite badly damaged. Please see the photos. There's a cracked part where you can see the inside (black).
The battery is degraded, so it drains quickly.
It works without any problems, so it's not junk.
