Each illustration depicts a typical representative of its species and its corresponding behaviors.This series of charts was published in 1891 and distributed in most countries of the civilized world. After WWII, all titles were retouched, in keeping with the changed scientific and artistic discoveries. This edition was originally printed between the late 60's and early 70's, as noted on each chart.There was originally no text printed on the charts, enabling them to be studied throughout the World. Nowadays, they are universally considered as"objects d'art," and are displayed accordingly. The original publisher, Teaching aid Publishing company Hagemann is still to this day printing the charts in Germany.
