Carnia special occasion dress and jacket size 18.

This beautiful dress and shrug jacket is by Carnia ( Spanish I think ). It's ideal for a wedding or day at the races or that chilly evening out at sea on a cruise. The dress has cap sleeves and a square neckline to the front and V to the back by the long concealed zip.The bust is very flatteringly tuck stitched and under the bust line is a high fixed belt with beaded centre piece in contrasting colour. The main colour was originally described as fuscher but I think a definite red and is contrasted with black. Just below the bust where us more voluptuous ladies have that little roll the dress has horizontal pleats which are s great camouflage. The rest of the dress is straight giving a comfortable and flattering style. The shrug jacket is black with 3/4 sleeves and red material turn up cuff. It has a satin / silk look but is made from polyester type material cleverly imitating the look of raw silk. Both pieces are fully lined. I bought this on Vinted recently for a niece's wedding but we have been asked not to wear red as that is the bridesmaid colour. Thought I'd be ok with fuschia pink but it is a definite red so selling on and looking again. Shame as it's a lovely outfit and a great fit.
