Antique silverplate chocolate muddler mixing spoon, c.1890–1910. Maker marked with H W R & Co (H.W. Richards & Co.) and also stamped L.A. Becker Company, a historic St. Louis jeweler and silver retailer. Features an elegant long handle and ornate Art Nouveau scrollwork at the terminal. Traditionally used to stir hot chocolate, cocoa, or coffee in tall cups and serving pots.
